Chili Garden's Best Mild

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 35 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 lb ground beef round
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4 large sweet peppers
  • 3 jalapeno peppers
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 large tomatoes
  • 2 cups zucchini
  • 3 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans dark red kidney beans
  • 5 tablespoons chili powder (to taste)

Recipe

  • 1 cut and remove seeds from jalapeno peppers and chop onions and sweet peppers.chop zucchini. saute all in the olive oil in a large kettle medium to low heat until tender crisp.
  • 2 in a separate frying pan mix the ground turkey and beef together and cook until brown. mix into the veggie mixture.
  • 3 peel and coarsely chop tomatoes and add.
  • 4 rinse kidney beans and add.
  • 5 mix in the rest of the ingredients.
  • 6 bring to boil while stirring then reduce to simmer and let cook down 45 mins to an hour over low heat stirring occasionally.
