Low Fat Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans chickpeas
  • 8 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 cup cilantro

Recipe

  • 1 drain and rinse chickpeas, reserving 2/3 cup of the canned chickpea liquid.
  • 2 in a blender combine all the ingredients, gradually adding the reserved chickpea liquid, and process until smooth.
