Bean Dip

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 15 ounces fat-free refried beans (1 can)
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion, finely chopped (minced if possible)
  • jalapeno pepper, diced (i use the pickled ones in a jar, as many or as few as you like)
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite picante sauce
  • 1/2 ounce taco seasoning (1/2 pack)
  • 1 dash cumin
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese or 1/2 cup monterey jack cheese

Recipe

  • 1 mix first 5 ingredients in a sauce pan over medium low heat. simmer about 10 minutes until heated well. add shredded cheese, stir well, turn heat to low and simmer for about 5 more minutes.
  • 2 remove from heat and place in a plastic container with lid. serve right away or allow to sit for awhile.
