Frijoles Borrachitos (refried Beans W/ Beer)

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 jalapenos, seeded, stemmed, & minced
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (14 ounce) can black beans
- 1 (14 ounce) can red kidney beans
- 1 (14 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 12 -24 ounces guinness stout
- salt (to taste)
Recipe
- 1 in large pan saute onions & garlic until translucent.
- 2 add jalapenos & saute until lightly browned.
- 3 add black beans (rinsed & drained), and kidney & pinto beans (undrained).
- 4 bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 90 minutes. add beer as needed to maintain liquid level.
- 5 mash & mix with potato masher. add salt to taste & serve!
