Low Fat Nachos!

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 6 inch fat-free whole wheat pita bread
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (425 g) can mexican chili beans
  • 1 tablespoon hot salsa
  • 1 tablespoon low-fat sour cream
  • 1/2 cup low-fat cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven 200°c.
  • 2 on lightly sprayed tray, cut pita bread in triangles, spray top of pita and bake for about 10 minutes until crunchy.
  • 3 on plate, arrange mexibeans, nacho toppings sauce***, cheese.
  • 4 heat in microwave for about 2 minutes until cheese melts.
  • 5 top with salsa, sour cream and jalapenos.
  • 6 note: can heat mexibeans in pan and nacho topping*** in another pan and place under broiler until cheese melts.
  • 7 serve with pita baked triangles.
  • 8 note: can omit jalapenos.
  • 9 note: guacamole, heaps more of sour cream only adds to the calories not necessarily to more enjoyment!
  • 10 enjoy!
  • 11 note: above recipe would not let me include "fat-free nachos
  • 12 topping".
