Grilled Or Broiled Asian Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steaks
  • 1/3 cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled, minced
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeno, seeded, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 trim fat from steak.
  • 2 combine steak and remaining ingredients in a large zip-loc bag. seal bag and marinate in refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
  • 3 spray grill or broiler with non-stick coating.
  • 4 remove steak from bag, and discard marinade.
  • 5 place steak on grill rack or broiler pan. cook 8 minutes on each side, or until desired degree of doneness.
