Chili Cheddar Sage Corn Bread

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 (14 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1/3 cup minced pickled jalapeno
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 grease a very large, heavy baking pan.
  • 3 combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. combine the last 6 ingredients in another bowl.
  • 4 stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • 5 spread patter in pan.
  • 6 bake until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.
