Jalapeno Poppers

Total Time: 2 hrs 45 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 12 jalapeno peppers, sliced in half lengthwise, seeds removed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • oil (for deep frying)

Recipe

  • 1 fill jalapeno pepper halves with cream cheese and press halves back together.
  • 2 combine eggs, water and salt.
  • 3 dip jalapeno peppers into egg mixture and into breadcrumbs.
  • 4 place on a cookie sheet and freeze for 2 hours.
  • 5 heat oil in deep fryer to 370°.
  • 6 deep fry peppers in batches for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown. transfer jalapeno poppers to paper towels to drain.
