Leftover Chili

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 lbs beef sirloin, diced (grilled)
  • 1 1/2 cups onions, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (1 with green chilis)
  • 1 cup green pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeno peppers, minced
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans red beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients in a large, heavy bottomed pot like a dutch oven.
  • 2 cover and cook approximately one hour until heated through.
  • 3 alternately, place all the ingredients in a slow cooker (crock pot) and cook on low for 4 hours.
