Hot Chili

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 16 ounces hot salsa
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 jalapenos
  • 2 chili peppers, pods
  • 2 tablespoons sirachi chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup splenda sugar substitute or 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 lb beans

Recipe

  • 1 grind chili dry seasoning with 4 jalapenos.
  • 2 combine ground meat with dry seasonings and hot sauce and set aside for 1 hour. you can smoke the meat on a grill with mesquite and then add for a more smokey flavor.
  • 3 cook meat until browned, drain and add barbeque sauce, caramelizing the sauce.
  • 4 add tomatoes, remaining jalapenos, pepper pods and simmer. for more intense flavor you can puree the peppers with the meat and tomatoes and then simmer to blend all flavors.
  • 5 add liquid to make solution and simmer with beans for 30 minutes, taste and add sweetener accordingly.
  • 6 for best results, keep recipe with plenty of liquid for tomatoes and spices to dissolve and cook on lower heat for longer times to get a more full bodied dish.
