Crispy Fried Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced jalapeno peppers
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 12 (6 inch) corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 cups shredded lettuce
Recipe
- 1 in a blender or food processor, combine the salsa ingredients.
- 2 cover and pulse until salsa reaches desired consistency.
- 3 transfer to a bowl.
- 4 cover and refrigerate.
- 5 in a skillet, cook beef over medoum heat until no longer pink.

- 8 in another skillet, heat oil.
- 9 fry tortillas just until softened.

- 12 sprinkle with cheese.
- 13 fold in half.
- 14 in an ungreased skillet, fry tortillas on both sides until crisp.
- 15 serve with lettuce and salsa.
