Jalapeño Poppers

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 large jalapenos
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 ounces cream cheese

Recipe

  • 1 pop the jalapeños in a plastic bag and then into microwave oven for 2 minutes. let cool in bag.
  • 2 thaw one puff pastry sheet and cut into 12 squares.
  • 3 cut the cream cheese into 12 cubes.
  • 4 when jalapeños are cool, remove from bag and cut in half lengthwise. clean out seeds. do this in well ventilated area and use gloves.
  • 5 place one cube cream cheese in jalapeño half, squeezing into pepper half.
  • 6 using one of the 12 squares of puff pastry, wrap around pepper and cheese covering completely.
  • 7 place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 8 repeat until you have 12 poppers on baking sheet.
  • 9 bake at 425°f for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • 10 serve with jalapeño jelly (you can buy in any grocery store).
