Black Bean Rice And Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup corn
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 1 large red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno chili, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except salt, pepper and rice in slow cooker; cover and cook on high 4-5 hours, adding the rice during the last 15 minutes.
  • 2 season to taste with salt and pepper.
